New Volkswagen Up! 2010
The Up! was unveiled at the Frankfurt Motor Show, continuing the Volkswagen design principles of simplicity to maximise space and reduce unnecessary gimmicks.

What sets the Up! apart is its spatial dimensions, offering more space than any other car of a similar length (3.45 metres) and width (1.63 metres).The up! features space for four adults as well as two cargo areas - one in the nose and one just above the rear-mounted engine.

In the space up! the wheelbase extends to 2,560 mm to improve interior space while each of the 165/50 R18 wheels is pushed as far into each corner of the vehicle as possible. The overall length of the space up! grows by 230 mm and the height by 40 mm when compared with the up! concept. Despite the gains in size the space up! is still 150 mm shorter in length than the current smallest Volkswagen model, the Fox.
Its spacious interior features four individual seats, three of which can either be folded or removed completely to allow for up to 1,005 litres of luggage space. Access to the boot area in confined spaces is made easier through the adoption of a pair of side hinging rear doors intersected by a Volkswagen roundel. As with the up! concept the space up! features a translucent panel at the rear into which are set the car's high-intensity LED brake lights.

From its early beginnings the Eastern Western Motor Group made a conscious decision to focus on the retail of executive, quality and niche automobiles, a principle which is still adhered to within the company. The company made it their goal to bring these quality, luxury cars to the public at affordable sensible prices and in todays financial climate this is as important as ever.
The Eastern Western Motor Group grew steadily expanding the marques they represented and the number of locations they traded from. This steady expansion accelerated in the last 1990's and early 2000's with the group taking on a number of new sites and marques. The Eastern Western Motor Group added Toyota, Volkswagen, Lexus, MINI and Harley-Davidson to their current portfolio of new vehicle manufacturers they represented. The group also added several new locations for Saab and Mercedes-Benz, marques which the already represented.
Along with the expansion of the new vehicle sales side of the business the Eastern Western Motor Group also expanded their aftersales and servicing franchises taking on several Approved Audi Repair Centre's in Edinburgh. The rapid expansion of the group over a period of a few years increased the group's overall representation in the automobile sector mainly in Edinburgh and the Lothian's. Along with acquiring the new marques the group also opened several multi-franchise, mega-value used car sites under the banner of Car Deal Warehouse. To date the number of Car Deal Warehouse sites has now increased to 9 locations across Central Scotland, Fife and reaching as far south as Newcastle.
In recent months the Eastern Western Motor Group has once agin been expanding their portfolio of business's. With the recently announced additions of Lexus Glasgow, Western Mazda, Western Nissan and Western Honda the group's market share has increased by over 50%.
